IP Address Changes Strategy
 

Ok, so I made a Stealth Rookie mistake. I created 2 new ID's on my computer: good. I created all the other items as per the Stealth Guide: Good!!

BUT, I used Hide My Ass to change the IP Adresses.

Both Id's were suspended within a day.

At my place, we use DSL. Every time you unplug the router, which has the DSL Modem built in, you seem to get a new IP Address, which I know needs to be recorded and tracked.

There are so many different ideas on this site, it's frankly a bit overwhelming.

I would love it if someone might be able to help me identify a reasonably workable strategy for me to manage this correctly, now that I have done it wrong.

THAT is a good strategy - simple and effective

Dongles and phone tethering are also two good options for easily generating IP addresses.

It also gives you total control of who can and who cannot have access to the internet via the dongle or tether.

James, do you have any suggestions on the dongle end of things? I'm not terribly familiar with this technology.

A dongle is basically another term for a USB modem or MIFI device, by far in the US is Verizon wireless. They have a nice large pool of IP's and speed.

Thanks MM! Wasn't really sure there. One follow up if you don't mind. Do you get a new IP Address every time you connect to one of these things?

You can still get repeating IP address so you still need to keep track of the IP's to ensure you don't link accounts

Thanks James, I suppose what I might do is to just establish any Stealth id's we create using this device so that i can take it with me an log in anywhere if need be.
