Fastest way to check my stealth accounts?
 

Hey guys so I have a handful of stealth accounts and I often find myself doing quick checks on the accounts, looking for sales/messages from buyers. However, it is time consuming to log onto each separate user, log into each ebay account, look for messages/sales, then log out, change IP, and do it all over again on the rest of my stealth accounts.

Is there a quicker way to do this? Can I check all my gmails on one user without being linked by ebay/pp??? I know I am supposed to block content or something like that in gmail's settings, correct?

Better yet, is there a way to have all my emails forwarded to one email without being linked? What settings do I need to operate in this manner safely?

Have all your gmail accounts forward to one gmail account.

Disable images and beacons. Don't click any link. Don't reply to the message.

You can then check all the emails EB or PP send you.

Okay, great. And that one "master" gmail account… should it not be associated with any ebay account or it doesn't matter?

Also, do I disable images and beacons on EACH gmail account, or just the master gmail account?

I would disable them on all gmail accounts. Only really need to do it on the master, but it helps prevent slip ups.

Again, mine is not associated with any EB or PP accounts, but really it would not make much difference. I just like as much segregation between stealths as possible.

How do you have them forward to one gmail account? Good idea this.

I have done the same, all emails go to one gmail account that runs on my iPad. That is my bell for action. All images disabled on individual accounts but can still be disabled on iPad.

I would use a gmail that is not associated with any eBay account.

How do you get all emails going to one gmail account please? Can this be done so I can view emails on my iphone still?

So long as images + beacons are disabled yes you can view it on your iPhone.

In gmail click the cog at the top right

Click Settings

Forwarding tab

Add forwarding address.

Enter required email address

Confirm the email address and then activate the forwarding.

Also if you have a smartphone there's an email app called ibisMail, you can add all your stealth emails.

Yeh i disabled images and beacons when i set accounts up but been viewing them all seperate from my iphone, great advice that though will save me lots of time thanks a lot.

Make sure you disable the beacons and images on the master account as well before viewing anything.

The Stealth guide shows how to disable images but gmail has changed since.
Can someone say where exactly one goes now, in settings to disable images and beacons?

Exact same instructions as in post #8.

Instead of going to mail forwarding tab stay in general take.

Click button that says 'Ask before displaying external images'

Save changes and your good to go.

Now, let me ask…

If an email comes in to the email address that I have all my stealth notifications forwarded to and i actually DO want to view the images in the email, is it safe to do so?.. By clicking on the "view images" link that is usually at the top of the email message?

And also, if I disable images and beacons in the email settings from my computer, and then view my emails from my mobile phone, will I be safe? Will these settings apply to my viewing of these emails from my phone?

Why would you need to ever view images? So long as your logged into the correct user and email address account then sure you could do that, but seems a bit pointless to me.

Settings should also apply on phone. To check send yourself an email with an image in it. Better to be safe than sorry.

Why would you ever want to view images?

Should this relate to an issue with the product, then keep everything kosher and view via your ebay account.

Try to avoid mixing & mingling procedures.

What I mean is, if I get an email on my "master" email account unrelated to stealth and it has images which I wish to view, would it be possible to do so without harming the settings in place for stealth purposes?

If its unrelated to eBay and PayPal then yes you can download the images for that email

Most people will use a dedicated master email address though that has nothing but PP and EB emails, not their personal email address.

Better to keep all things as segregated as possible, prevents any mistakes.

Okay, I was debating in my head what email to use as master email address and, yes, you are right it is best to keep it separate. You, Greenie, and everyone else have been most helpful as usual! Thank you!
