Default Have a weird little Netbook that won't boot with a C-Mos battery. Problem?.

With windows xp and windows 7 this is a BIG problem but with windows 8 it's not at all. HOWEVER. This may be an issue with stealth. The reason this is not a problem on windows 8 is because windows 8 updates the time and date every 12 hours or so through the internet and saves the time to the hard drive. However often times the time is just wrong when I boot up but not so wrong i get security certificate problems when visiting a website.

I'm using VPNs for stealth and am thinking if the time is wrong and I'm using 2 stealth accounts on one computer with with two users logged in won't I be linked do to the 2 accounts using the same odd dates and times matched with the resolution of the computer?.

Anyway if anyone knows thanks. Also Another question I had Would it be safe to use atleast 1 stealth account on this computer?. My main?. Along with my own amazon. (Not stealth). Thanks.

If it's not booting with the battery inserted, power down, ground/destatic yourself and unseat the battery again, unseat/reseat the CMOS jumper (make sure it's back int he neutral position) and reseat the battery.

If that doesn't work, replace the battery. You can find them in most watch shops or the likes easily enough.

Didnt solve the problem. It wont even boot with the power adaptor connect after shut down. Need to unplug and plug back in first.
