EB emails text only format
 

If I opt for text only instead of html will this add a layer of protection from beacons when using my Gmail app? I have already disabled images but constantly worry I will accidently click on allow images when scrolling.

Text make the message VERY basic and makes linking via accidental clicking/images literally impossible.

Yes it will help.

BUT you need to be aware that there will still be hyperlinks contained in the email when you have the "text only" setting that can hurt you.

Avoid any URL that has rover.ebay.com along with lots of %'s. That is eBay's program that redirects you back to their site (with your info pre-loaded of course).

Maybe you should delete the gmail app all together? Google isn't exactly the type to not follow you either.

Do you know of any Android email apps which disables images/links completely?

What I usually do is forward my mail to one central email, and then access that email through pop in your email app, with that email app disable image loading. I'm not sure if the android app email has the option to doable images though. It should. I'm using an iPhone's email app and it has that option.
