Resetting the router without turning off the phone??
 

When I had Verizon for Internet my phone would not turn off every time I would reset the router.

Now that I have Time Warner Cable it does. Is there any way to keep the phone line from shutting off every time I reset the router?

Would switching phone providers work?

I think this is a unique situation and it's best if you do trial and error or call both companies, what's the deal?

Time Warner Cable is not dynamic IP last time I read/heard :(
