should i be concerned with hiding ips when checking my gmail account that is connected to my ebay/paypal account?

meaning, using my static ip which is on ebays blacklist or whatever at my house or work for that matter to check gmail account.

i am pretty certain ebay/paypal dont talk to google but am unsure.

i would hate to loose my stealth accounts because i checked my gmail on a bad ip.

also what about replying to buyer messages through the gmail account? will this get me banned as well?

Hi,
yes you can check the mail from Gmail account providing that you disable the function to "display images". Ebay can track your IP using beacons within images.

If you reply them via email, no problem. If you follow the Ebay link obviously you will be forwarded to Ebay page... something you do not want to do.

Make sure Images and Beacons are disabled in Gmail. Do not click any links. These are the only way EB or PP can see your IP address though an email.

It might be a weak link... cross your finger and try to avoid this in the future.

I've disabled images.. what about beacons?

Where is the "off" option within settings?

There is no option for beacons. Beacons are part of the images. Beacons are embedded in them and are used to track infos.
If you disable images you are ok.

eBay will not be able to see if someone has logged into gmail to turn off the images.
Ebay and Google are very different companies and will not share IP address data.
