Mobile Hotspot?
 

Hi, I a mobile hot spot just for phones and tablets or is it good for home computers too? I have done some looking and cannot find the answers so I have a couple questions. What is a mobile hot spot and how does one work? Also how does a dongle work and is that only for smartphones?

A "Dongle" is primarily connected by USB.
Most Dongle's have a software that is used in companion, you connect the device to your computer(s), connect with the software, done.

A Mifi (Hotspot) can be connected to the Computer by USB or Wifi.
A Hotspot will depend on how you want to connect with it.
If you use the USB method, you will require software.
If you use the Wifi method, you turn the device on, and connect to the device with a password. A Hotspot can be used with Computers and Phones, or any device that uses Wifi connection.
