Help with USB Internet Dongles UK?
 

As the heading suggests

Which ones in the UK would you recommend, im after something thats cost effective, I did look at the pay monthly ones but it seems pointless if your ip gets banned? Would mean you would have to cancel the contract and start a new one?

I would recommend a dongle from THREE - PAYG, best range of IP's and best service IMO, I have been using THREE dongle for about 4-5 years now with no issues.

Okay so if i get a dongle and say ebay ban ip, is there an actual option to change the ip address using the same dongle? Or do i have to purchase a new dongle?

When you use a dongle, everytime you connect to the internet you get a new ip address. Sometimes the ip repeata itself, that is why you should track your ip for each account, so they never overlap.

I currently use a 3 dongle, £7.87 a month for 1gb usage. Not the best deal but it suits me.

The IP address changes automatically when you disconnect and reconnect to the internet when using a dongle.

Okay that sounds really good, I never knew it changes on each connection attempt.I may as well just get a Pay monthly one then? I have been using a VPN all this time but have realised that this is a big problem right?

+1 for Three mobile but it does come down to coverage in your area. Best to check that before making a final decision.

Ebayor makes a very valid point. I used to live in a house that received poor signal, stealth would be inpossible there.

If your 3g coverage is good in ur house, ur dongle should be good too.

Just had a look at their coverage, seems that there is a "very good" service where i am

So i guess pay monthly over pay as you go ? Seems like a no brainer?

Monthly would be the plan if you sell a lot AND want to use bandwidth for other purposes

Well i am to sell alot, but i do hear your point, i think ill start with pay as you go initially and then once i build up my accounts and start to sell more move to a monthly option

Well i do actually have a "FREE" dongle that i bought a few years ago never used it, going to try and see if it still works, if not then "free" still seems like the network to go for

I have seen these Mifi devices, was wondering if my pc connects to them do i simply just restart the mifi device to change ip?

Make doubly sure that the coverage is good before committing to using a service.

Depends on your plan what will work better for you.

I.d be interested to know anyones experience with mifi.

Only £25 for a device and.it could.come in handy.

Resetting the computer should get a new IP on Net connection - don't need a new dongle.
