tethering on iphone

I am tethering a iPhone to my mac to set up a new account for ebay, since this phone previously had the ebay app that I have since deleted can it be tracked because of the ip address, this is the first time I have ever tethered in order to start the account.

Well, if you never logged IP addresses, then how can you know? Also, search the forum some, because I'm pretty sure I've read that if a phone ever had the ebay app and now it's deleted, that phone is still "known" by ebay...check it out.

Change your ip address and you should be good to go using it on your mac.
