3g dongle

just a quick question , I used one of these on an ebay before that got suspended , can I use the same dongle but with a new sim card in it
in a nutshell what im asking is will a new sim give new ip addresses or is it the dongle that contributes to giving the address
so can I buy a new sim card or do I need a new dongle and sim

Re: 3g dongle

I would not be surprised if the IP address stayed the same if you simply swapped out the sim card.. especially if it's the same service.

The IP address is dependent on the device MAC address.

Can't tell for sure..

If you aren't getting a new IP with the same Dongle then your problem isn't the Sim or Dongle itself but primarily your Provider (at least 90% the issue)

You should be able to Unplug/Plug In the Dongle and get a new IP. Now with that being said, you can add a new SIM....BUT....If you have to resort to this you may end up with a lot of SIMS.

Your going to have to change to a Provider that will change IP's by unplug/plug in method.

I believe in the UK T-Mobile Dongle works but I could be wrong.

Can you not test it using an IP tracker website? Try a few times and see if it changes?

I use a MiFI device called Huawei, you can get them for £40 ish, plus a SIM for £22 that gives you 3 months internet. Turn it off and back on between accounts and you have a new IP address.

The device, Huawei, it's like a mobile phone, so you choose the provider, although a few of them are coming "unlocked" now, so in the UK you can pick Orange, 3G, Vodafone etc..

It doesn't use a mobile phone SIM though, Data only SIM, but the sellers that sell them usually sell the SIMS too.

Whats the retail price on Huawei? Sounds neat

In the UK around £40-£60, depending on if you want a brand new one or a used/refurbished one.

They are cool, I've got the old model, the new one apparently boots up and is ready in 5 seconds. Mine takes around 20 seconds between turning off and starting up again, 20 seconds is a long time when you just want to quickly flick through the accounts lol.

I'm thinking of getting a couple more..

Thank you....I know how the device works, lol....what I meant was that it would of been good to know what Provider "YOU" were using so the OP could get an idea.

Avoid refurbished Huawei where feasible

Irrelivant really, I'm sure they can ask me if they need to know, or look for themselves. It doesn't matter the network they are on, what I'm saying is that the device works and is easy to use.

Re: 3g dongle

I've been lingering in Southeast Asia for most of this year. I've been starting some Thailand based, and Malaysian based stealth accounts and here's what I used. Over here you can get a Hauwei E303 (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...3L._SY300_.jpg) for 23-26 USD, and then a new pay as you go sim for only 2$usd. For every account, I just open a new windows/mac user account, combine a new 23$ mobile dongle, and a new 2$ sim card. As far as tracking goes, that keeps you pretty safe from the main methods and you spend only 25$ per account. Switching all seperate dongles are much easier for me than messing with routers and manual ip changes.

Also in Asia, sim cards are completely anonymous, no given personal information or signing up. It like buying chewing gum.
