how do i change my ip address with verizon fios?
 

i have verizon fios, this is my first time doing this, i just purchased ebay stealth 2 days ago.

i havnt found a way to edit/change the Wan MAC address, i went through every possible option on my router setup page, even advanced settings/changes.

The only thing i could find that i could edit was something called "MAC Cloning" the description on this page says:
"MAC Address Cloning provides the ability to emulate the routers MAC address to appear identical to the original hardware address. Use this feature only if your ISP requires MAC Address authentication"

and it says:

"Set MAC of device - Broadband Connection (Ethernet/Coax) "
"To Physical Address: (and it has my Wan MAC address ready to edit) "
" CLONE MY MAC ADDRESS "

i cant find anything else that lets me edit the Wan MAC address.

I'm very confused. verizon's router setup page has like 5 million different options and settings i dont know what else to do...

Cloning your MAC address is what you want to do and once you do that, change the last couple characters and your router should reset and you should have a new IP address.

That's how most routers work, I don't have your specific router so it may differ.

what is your router model number,if ours differ i dont know if it will work, but i have fios and found a way to do it. there is a you tube video that shows you how to do it. lost the link tho. if they match i will tell you the process.
