| | | pmtrump101 | 09-05-2014 11:29 PM | Trying to find the best way to use multiple account Hi,
I am planning on running ALOT of account. I already got 25 and looking to run 100+. I dont want to slow my computer down with 100+ user account. I was told about VMWare but I read on the forum that VMWare can slow ur computer. Is this true? I read too about portable Firefox. I got a few questions about it. Let me know if it make sense.
I am using 24vc dedicated IP for each account.
The way I understood it is like this ( let me know if I made a mistake)
1- download firefox portable
2-each account make them a new folder.
3- download firefox portable on each of the folder for each account.
Does it make sense so far? Please someone help me so I dont get linked. I would like to use only 1 user account for windows.
Thanks guys I would REALLY appreciate. |

Just make sure while you're working with these accounts you only have ONE browser open at a time and you watch your IP like a hawk.. ipburger.com |

So with this technique, if my ips are always good, theres no way to get linked? I used user accounts before but its a little bit of a pain in the a** to always change user accounts. Read the forum and found out about this and seems like a great idea |

Yes multiple user accounts work, the idea is to contain cookies and be able to keep them
So you can also use different browsers on the same user account
Or download portable browsers like Firefox and have a new portable browser for each stealth on one user account |
| SadSuspended | 09-06-2014 11:05 AM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account Best of luck with your 100 account. I have 10 accounts so far and it took me a while. Can you share some tips on short cuts. Thanks. Are you doing 1 or 2 a day? |

I opened 2 folder. Download portable firefox in both folder. I opened one gmail in one folder and another one in the other folder. I seen that each email were open on each different folder and it didnt mixed. Sorry for the way I explained it, I am french. hehe. But I guess portable firefox works just fine as u said. Ill be going for that technique. |

I've been using different user accounts with different browsers for each eb account but it IS a PITA to keep logging out, rebooting the rooter to change IP, and then logging back in again. |

You could look at a dongle if you are finding resetting the router takes too long. |
Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account Also mobile phone tethering works |
| FlashingBlade | 09-08-2014 09:46 AM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account Unfortunately where I live the cell network is virtually non existent amongst most networks. I may be able to find one with good indoor coverage but it would be trial and error.
I was looking at the VPN route and one that offers guaranteed clean IP's but wouldnt that mean I would need a VPN account (and therefore monthly subscription) for EACH of the eb accounts to avoid them all channeling through the same clean IP and being linked? |
Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account You would need separate IP for each account...VPS or otherwise |

Its less a pain in the @ss than to write every IP u use. U need to pay for those service, thats the only problem. Put it pushed me to try to sell even more.I just started using the Firefox portable and so far so good.I like it. You just always need tomake sure u dont make a mistake and open the wrong account with the wrong IP, so be careful |
| FlashingBlade | 09-09-2014 04:05 AM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account Well, i use a BT wifi hotspot from home which gives a unique IP everytime I log on but its just so slow. When I'm away from home I get better cell reception so use it tethered to my laptop. I just use the IP burger tracking tool to make sure I dont get the same IP twice.
Now, I know that may cause concern in itself with eb, i.e. constantly shifting IP's but I figure its less likely to cause a concern for them than the obvious linked IP's. |
| JamesNorth101 | 09-09-2014 04:44 AM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account Nothing wrong with IP addresses always changing so long as cookies are in place.
When you say you use the BT WiFi hotspot you do not mean the publicly accessible one do you? Do you just mean you use your BT routers WiFi? |
| FlashingBlade | 09-09-2014 11:55 AM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account er....yes, my village has a free wifi hot spot. I guess I am susceptible if someone has used that IP before and been thrown off ebay but thats also true of mobile phone IP addresses isnt it? |
| JamesNorth101 | 09-09-2014 12:05 PM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account Not to the same extent
IP addresses matching one off is one thing, there is a link but a very weak one, but using the same IP address time and time again from a free WiFi will link you to other eBay users who also use the same free WiFi. Its a much stronger link because the IP address is always the same. |
| puderquaste | 09-09-2014 12:10 PM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account if you use like 10 accounts and all with different ips and user accounts, how do you manage it with the bank accounts that they arent linked with each other? 10 different bank accounts?:help: |
| JamesNorth101 | 09-09-2014 01:48 PM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account Yes, each PP ideally needs to have its own bank account |

| JamesNorth101 | 09-09-2014 04:37 PM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account Even so lots of other people also connecting to the WiFi hotspot and using eBay at the same time as you will be sharing the same IP address as you.
In a nutshell you should be controlling the IP and who has access to it. You cannot rely on using a publicly accessible IP address. |
| FlashingBlade | 09-10-2014 02:12 PM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account Unfortunately thats not an option for me due to poor cell coverage. The only viable option would be a vpn but arent there problems with that too in that even a UK based vpn could have an IP address in say, Edinburgh but the account address is Torquay. |
| JamesNorth101 | 09-10-2014 04:14 PM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account Could you not get your own home broadband?
VPN is an option, but its not ideal. You would need to choose your provider carefully.
The IP address just needs to be in the same country. My IP shows as hundreds of miles away from where I actually am. |
| FlashingBlade | 09-10-2014 04:21 PM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account I have broadband but its limited to 5 meg (no cable availability) and its the constant rebooting of the router thats a pain in the arse to get a new IP each time as you have to leave it off for 5 minutes or so and then it takes another 3 or 4 minutes to actually reconnect. |
| JamesNorth101 | 09-10-2014 04:29 PM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account 5mb/s is plenty enough for eBay. I manage it with a lot less.
You just need to turn the router off for 5 seconds, no need to wait 5 minutes.
If you want to be stealthing correctly then you need to be the one that controls when the IP address changes and you need to have sole access to it. Using the WiFi hotspot you are just setting yourself up to fail. |
| FlashingBlade | 09-11-2014 01:48 PM | Re: Trying to find the best way to use multiple account I suppose I could always use it as an excuse to buy a new iPhone 6 with a data contract. Based on the cost of a decent VPN on a monthly basis it probably wouldnt be much more expensive and I'd have the benefit of a new phone. I have a company mobile at the moment with no significant data package attached and poor network coverage at my home address which is why that hasnt been an option. |
