Hi,

Just wondering if you create new users on your laptop can you then download the ebay app from windows (different email accounts for windows) and not be linked.

Same really for the chrome/firefox extensions.

No, I would not use the eBay app for Windows. Stick to web browsers. A web browser protects you from eBay tracking things like your MAC address and other device details.

Well.. I wouldn't say that. If you have never used the app on your device and want to use it for an account, go ahead but known unless you spoof your device's ID in the future you can't use the app again. So you can use it ONCE and that's it until you spoof your device's hardware id.. though I don't see others talking about that.

Really it's just easier to use the browsers but it's always good to have more options.. the more options the better!

Yes read lots of info regarding the apps. But thought that was more towards the mobile kind, and not the apps on windows pc.

The App works outside the browser is what Aspkin had mentioned , so even though you have a different user account , you will not be protected, because eBay is no longer contained inside your browser but is on your computer and reading hardware information, just like it would on your phone

Ah right.

Been using the app on my main eBay account for ages. Not banned.

So setup my first stealth yesterday on a new user account on my PC, but not downloaded the ebay windows app.

So are these two accounts now linked by using the app only on my main account?

Have deleted the app now. But little concerned may have ruined an account already.
