Changing IP

I have a Verizon Modem that has a built in router. The mac address is fixed and the only way to change my dynamic IP is to have Verizon do it. I also have an Netgear router I used before I got Verizon. Can I use the Netgear with the Verizon router and change the IP. I can change the mac address with the Netgear, but I don't know if it change my IP because of the Verizon Modem.

Maybe.. give it a shot. Change the router's MAC address and unplug and plug back your Verizon modem to try to grab a new IP address. It might work..

Welcome to the forums - power down the modem...wait a bit...turn it back on and use ipburger.com to check if the IP has changed
