question re linking ips
 

hi read book, i know about switching users keeping cookies seperate and all that.

However, I was looking for some electronics gift sites last week on explorer and clicked on to a site that took me to e-bay via it somehow!

AND i was already logged in!! logged in to an ebay account that i had created a week prior, i am pretty sure i would have created it on firefox NOT on explorer (so i cant work it out) the account was created on the same user screen as explorer, my main screen . This ID is not suspended, never been used and not yet linked to a paypal, BUT has same address and details, as another successful working ebay/pp duo. just was going to use as a dormant one, so i will discard it now with no probs and do a PC clean. Also and more importantly, Ive had been using another totally different details account in few days prior to doing this mistake, on seperate IP to any other and different screen.

two questions
1. i found myself logged into this dormant acc under same IP but different user screen used on another account with totally different details, which are not suspended, . Is that going to be linked?
2. i didnt log in to dormant account that day, i was already logged in for days, is there a difference. Is the ip i created account under(the one and only time i was using it), the one they have , if so I am probably safe as, I would have changed IPs to work on another account. OR do they have all my ips for every day after stored on this dormant accounts system,. During that time i have listed on a different detailed account and created a new ebay/ppal acc, all on different ips and different users but is that all that IP info logged on the dormant account i mistakenly left unlogged out.
