static ip

My isp provided me with a static IP address. I was unable to change the MAC address on the setup page. Can I request a dynamic IP when I connect with my Mac? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Who is your provider? Have you tried powering down the modem and resetting?

Your ISP may be able to swap you over to a dynamic IP.
You could also swap ISP if you want although I would recommned looking into dongles and phone tethering before doing that :thumb:

cant change a static IP.

Going to depend on your ISP about changing.

Are you 100% sure it's a static IP?

I would go for dongle or tethering.
