could i be linked?
 

heres what happened, i have a brand new account with new everything. i have a new phone with the ebay app. i was signed into the app, not browsing or doing anything but i was signed in and accidentally walked into a my place and my phone was connected to wifi with a old ip that was associated with a ban account, will i be linked from this?

Yep. If you have used the same IP then there is a link.

Its one of the many reasons we recommend to never use the APP. Its too easy to get yourself linked.

damn ok, what about if your logged out of the app but connected to a old ip?

eBay APP can pull data from your phone at will, logged in or not.

If you want to use eBay on your phone you would be better to use the browser.

also does that mean an automatic ban or do they need more than just that? as far as account info on the 2 nothing is even close to the same.

Generally they will need more than that, but still something that should be avoided.
