| cizzla7049 | 03-07-2015 06:37 PM | how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router I did some research and was able to figure out how to do it.
-Login to your modem, should be http://10.0.0.1
-username is admin
-password is password
-click on connection
-click on local ip network
-then select enable where you see bridged mode
this will disable the router portion of the modem and then you can use your own router. change mac on the router and reset it and then restart modem also and you should have a new ip address
if you cant do this, call Comcast and ask for tier2 support and tell them you want your modem in bridged mode as you will like to use your own router and they will do this for you. hope this helps someone |

SilentHill | 03-18-2015 04:39 PM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router good post hope this works for somebody. |

You will either need to get a regular modem or a telephony modem that has a phone jack on the back
And it depends if you have phone service with your cable provider or just have cable and Internet
And on their website you will find a list of compatible modems that you can easily find at any best buy or office max type store or go right online and get one from Amazon or eBay
And than you can connect your router with a separate modem and change the IP in router settings
Also it will save you around $13 dollars a month after taxes to rent that all in one router/modem from your ISP |
yellowrotorway | 03-19-2015 02:37 AM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router Doesn't work, i tried everything |
unkown5454 | 03-19-2015 02:51 AM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router This works the same for AT&T U-Verse for adding separate routers.
You can do that or purchase your own modem and router combo, which is preferred.
Remember, these all-in-one modems are meant to help their company, not you. They prefer you to be a simpleton and just keep paying massive bills and be completely helpless when problems arise. They save money with these useless bricks that offer horrible hardware and technical quality. And the new ones with telephony are blasting free wifi to your neighbors.
Learning how to setup your own network is crucial if you want to have the upper-hand on these monopolistic leviathans. |
rainmaker | 03-19-2015 04:49 AM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router the all in one router/modem for comcast is the one preventing you to change the IP address. Buy an older modem that you can change the mac address and you will find that you could change the IP address. But that's all a hassle, go with VPN or dongles to save you time and energy instead. |
yellowrotorway | 03-19-2015 04:57 AM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router Comcast are bunch of freakin MORONS. Stuffy, a holes! I have tried absolutely EVERYTHING!!!!! NOTHING, I REPEAT NOTHING!!!@!@!!!!! WORKS... I have been at this of months... |
yellowrotorway | 03-19-2015 04:59 AM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router There is no enable or "bridge mode" !!@!! |
rainmaker | 03-19-2015 05:03 AM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router they are wasting your time or they really don't know what they are talking about. |
Dmshark25 | 03-19-2015 06:32 AM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router I don't understand why you don't go and purchase the correct modem and your own router, disconnect the Comcast all in one unit, and wire the modem and router and than contact Comcast tell them you just installed your own modem and router and it takes two minutes you will be up and running |
cizzla7049 | 03-19-2015 05:37 PM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router just call them and ask them to change your modem into bridged mode, i will try to get some pics and upload it on here. did you follow all the steps? click on connections and then click on local ip network and then look to the middle of the screen, you will see where it says bridged mode (enabled/disabled) and then click on enable. the bridged mode is not on the left side of the screen where you have the categories but in the middle of the screen. let me know if it helps...if not, just call comcast, ask for tier2 support and have them do this for you |

Op is way to high strung and needs to take a breath , to,quick to say I tried everything and nothing works
Because changing the Mac thru router settings with Comcast is done many times a day by many members including myself and it works great
The best bet would to get a Hotspot or tether from there cell phone, I think that would be a good starting point for them |
GreenBean | 03-19-2015 06:38 PM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router If the OP is going to run multiple stealth accounts, then I consider they should think of having a dfferent ISP. throwin all this negative energy into one choice is futile.
They need to vary their options to look like a different stealth person.

:peace: | Doesn't even seem they will get the modem turned on, I think we are being messed around with this one |

I do not want to see anymore posts from people telling us their login to their modem or router is just "admin" and "password". You should be ashamed of yourself. |

yellowrotorway | 03-22-2015 04:02 AM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router Someone told me to shut down the router not the modem and that is why I had problems... Looking in retrospect it was pretty obvious that shutting down the router would do nothing but I was miserable and your right, negative energy breeds more problems... Anyway, I am up and running ....
My next question to the people on this thread is: How do you change User Accounts and be really safe?
What I mean is, If I go on my router page while I am on User -A ,, Then Change IP, then change to User B, isn't there a good chance that the cookies will read at the e-bay or Pay Pal website I was on at User - A? Even though I am not logged in there?
I mean, when I go to the site when I am at User- A, they already have my USER ID in the Log-In box which means they are tracking my cookies..
What I mean is, before I change over to User -B, the website will see the IP that I just changed to, by reading cookies, therefore I will get linked... Yes or No ?
OR can a person get onto their router page without being on the internet?
IF that is the case, then it all makes sense.. So I don't have to be on the internet so I can change I.P." without being on the web...
Any insight to any of this ? To stay safe ?
Because I want to start logging in to e-bay but I'm afraid something like that will happen... Thanks |
yellowrotorway | 03-22-2015 04:06 AM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router Actually, I have to bring up my browser window, so i WILL have to open Safari in order to get on the Belkin Router page..
Therefor as I do that, if an E-bay window is open, or anything like that, I will get linked, Correct?
So how do you stealth professionals do this properly without getting linked? |
cizzla7049 | 03-23-2015 09:15 AM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router Were you at least able to read the stealth guide as all this is explained. Best bet for you is to logout of 1st acct, change mac and then reset router and restart modem just to be on safe side or better yet, with all your difficulties, i will stock up on a router for each acct |
yellowrotorway | 04-06-2015 05:23 AM | Re: how to change ip on comcast all-in-one modem/router SO CHECK THIS OUT.. I have been going stealth, changing my I.P, successfully on Comcast by switching the wan mac address and everything has been good... Until today.... Today I woke up and switched everything over in the proper succession like I always do.. BUT THE IP ADDRESS WILL NOT CHANGE!!!
This makes no sense whatsoever!! NOTHING is different. It is clear that the wan-mac address has changed but the IP wont!
Can somebody help me??
