Deleting Flash Cookies / click to view what is stored!
 

Hi there, when you delete cookies not everything is deleted.

I realised this when I did a full delete of cookies and the next time I logged on I was recognised by vistaprint.

I had a flash cookie stored by Paypal.

I note that many people say that they think these flash cookies are an invasion of privacy

Have a look to see whats stored and simply delete them if desired.

You can do this action as often as needed. Also you can change settings while you are there like no to store the flash cookies etc. However they still get stored!

you are correct. You can either remove your flash cookies by this website or download objection to work with mozzila firefox.

I would also recomend using ccleaner

I use IE Privacy Keeper its a free program and works very well at getting rid of flash cookies

Please add your location to your account here.
eBay/Paypal rules vari by country.
Go to your "User CP" and list your location.
This helps since eBay/Paypal Rules are different by country.

Yeah he's got a BOT setup to where any new person post that dose'nt have a location set it will auto post that message. :D

on a serious note. ive seen this same msg on like every other thread. whats going on? Surley even the newbies will read through a few threads and see this msg, and if it is automated to all new members without location then some days you will have the same msg repeted several times littering all the threads.

I am trying to get people to list their location.
Newbies usually don't read any messages before posting a question.

If you post a question then I KNOW you are in the UK and the US based eBay/Paypal rules do not apply.
The UK has a LOT different banking laws & rules then the US.
You guys also have more problems with the Phone Verification then the US people do.
But the US people have a major problem with Paypal and the SSN # issue, where you in the UK do not.

I could go on and on and on.
That is the reason your location should be required before any question is ever answered.

If I post the same message in 100 threads then maybe it will get a newbies attention.

The number of members who now have their location in their User CP has increased 1000% in the last few months.
So I am going to guess that it is working.
Except for the folks who insist on placing bogus information in that area.
Those poor folks just can not be helped because we have no idea where they are located.

Apparently Firefox 3.0.4 deletes ebay flash cookie now required for identity. Without it you will be flagged and have to get a PIN by phone to enter to use their site.
Use a separate pc for ebay only and accept cookies.

And belive me that sucks i lost a good id to this i even knew the seceret ? they where asking in order to update my phone # and they still won't let me update it.

So what would you reccomend? Would you say its ok to use the same computer for different ebay accounts but under different windows user names?

just to clarify, is it only when we sign into ebay and paypal that we will now require to keep the cookies and not delete them?

If this is the case then we can have a different windows id for each ebay account and logg into it when we need to use ebay or paypal only. About 90-95% of the time i use auctiva and email to sort out my transactions and listings so would it be ok to have 1 windows user account,running along side the other ones, and use it to logg into different email accounts and different auctiva accounts without logging into ebay or paypal?

Yes we verified that the flash cookie must be present on your PC otherwise you will have to verify your phone number every time you try to sell something.
Therefore, You MUST have a dedicated PC for ebay ONLY and no one else can use it for anything!
DO NOT use it to surf the web
DO NOT do any transactions on any other sites using your real info!

You do not have to have a dedicated computer. That is just dumb.
Just set up USER ACCOUNTS on the PC.
1 User Account for EACH eBay account.
That keeps all cookies and flash objects separated into each user account.

Yeap 1 user to each ebay id its the best way to get around cookies!

I have about 10 user ids on my pc right now and all have there own unquie ip address.

If the flash cookies are only required when you put up an item for sale on ebay then why not do what i do and use auctiva. I do it all the time and hasnt caused me any problems and i always remove my cookies and flash cookies

I clone my routers MAC address like i can do 22:AA:3F:CD:AD:55 as my mac and get a ip like 50.158.64.97 then i can change my MAC to 44:AA:3F:BB:CD:55 and get a ip like 50.208.66.67 then if i want to go back to useing ip address 50.158.64.97 i will clone my MAC address back to 22:AA:3F:CD:CD:55 then i will have the same ip 50.158.64.97 again to use on the ebay account that i made with that ip address :) When i jot down my ebay id on a txt i will put the MAC address by it that i used to get the ip i made the account with so when every i log onto that ebay id i will have the same ip address every time.

And the problem when useing auctiva to bypass cookies is probly not a good idea cause if your a brand new user ebay will know that theres no way you would be able to know how to use auctiva to list items with cause almost all new ebay users barily know how to use ebay let alone auctiva and when u list any item on ebay useing auctiva for the first time your account gose under review for a few hours and if ebay has even a hunch that your abuseing ebay they will banned u no ?'s asked.
