Confirm Identity to Increase Selling
 

Hi - ebay asked me to confirm identity to increase selling limits in my category. using a purchased account. Is it better to just not confirm at all? Asks for info that I don't have the answers to. How do you change the name, addresses without raising red flags?

If you purchased the account from a forum seller its best to ask them for their advise :thumb:

I get increases by calling, they'll say they can't confirm your information, you just tell them you've moved in the past year to the address that you originally provided. They'll then ask for a previous address, look up address to a large apartment complex or tall skyscraper-like building with housing, use an address from that building (give a real address, because sometimes, they'll google the address, it's happened to me when I gave a bogus address and the lady was like, 'uh, you gave me the address to a nail salon' lol). They'll say that they can't confirm again. You just tell them you don't understand why they are having issues, and just seem confused and they'll give you a small increase apposed to no increase.

I've done it couple times and I've always have gotten increases.

I personally just sell and make sure I do same-day shipping with posted tracking to the order details, and actually mailing it so the tracking number shows active (they do check, and do grade you on this) and so far I've found nothing that increased my limits faster than this. Automatically, by the way. Maybe not within the first month, but definitely by the second month. There is definitely something in their system that gives you extra credibility for a fast get-it-in-the-mail record.
