I'm tethering my iphone 6. I turn off WIFI and turn on HOTSPOT and get a new IP. I select the iphone on my imac computer but the connection is so slow. Most times the pages don't even load. Is there anything I can do to speed up the connection? Am I doing something wrong?

The best thing to do is to Jailbreak your phone.

I think they count your tethering data aside from your actual phone data.

when you jailbreak your phone. You can get an app named "mywi" and get free unlimited hotspot and the carrier thinks you are using your Regular Phone data.

well not with t-mobile. I was actually paying an additional amount just to increase my hotspot data.

until I jailbreaked my iphone.

keep in mind I have the unlimited everything plan.

I tether just fine.

Either your wifi adapter isn't really good.
or your isp throttles your data usage.

I would recommend trying a verizon jetpack, they work the same way as tethering.

buy a booster device I got one off ebay it took my phone form 1 bar to 5 bars all i did was plug it in a plug socket it does not need broadband to work

I rekon your isp throttles your data as your package may not allow you to tether.

I have same problem in UK. No fix for me.
