Android wifi tether keeps getting disconnected at Starbucks?

I have a tether on an android device, keeps getting disconnected from time to time at starbucks. At home, it never gets disconnected and both areas, it gets perfect reception. You guys think that starbucks has a wifi jammer or something?

No experience at Starbucks but, when thetering, I have experienced general disconnections from android device when it is not connected to the charger.

So frustrating! Just when you typed a 6 sentence answer, then when you click send on the ebay messages, boom, disconnected and your message gone! It's weird, the disconnection never happens in my house, but at the local starbucks here, i get disconnections from time to time.

Are you tethering via cable or wifi mode?

well I know for iphone you can use the usb cable, I assume the same goes for Android.

For android, there are a couple of options, one is to data sync, and the other is to charge only. Stupidly, when I set it to charge only, it says that the cable cannot work to charge! LOL, ok. But when I set to data sync, it does charge. Either way, it is being connected to a wifi connection.

What app do you use with your iPhone, and does it have to be jailbroken?

I don't use an App anymore. I have the iPhone 6+ and it already comes with tethering available.

Really, I have the 6+ too, I keep my iOS 7, do u need to update to the latest for that tethering option?

Mine came with 8.1.3 version....I did Jailbreak it but the Tethering option was already available.
