IP address similarities....
 

I reset my router today on one of my stealths and realised the IP address is only 1 digit away from a previously used IP address.

Does this matter at all??

Please note: below is example only.

111.111.111.1
111.111.111.2

No it doesn't matter. Since it is not the same you are good to go.

Doesn't really cause issues - try for a bit more variety though . Who is your IP provider?

Well it seems you have quite a pool of IPs available.

Try to figure out how often you get exactly the same IP (all digits are the same).

If this is a very rare event you are fine. If you get the same IP quite frequently I would suggest to move to a different ISP with a bigger pool of IPs.

I've reset the router nearly 500 times and never had the same IP address before...

You can also change router mac address and you will get new IP address without restarting it...

It depends of internet provider, how large is his "address pool"
Some providers will dedicate a lot of IP's while some will give much more less and in that case you might get previously your used ip...

If they are different, it is ok, and how they are different - does not matter.

I was wondering the same thing as well.

My verizon and ATT hotspots give out similar within the same last block a few times and didnt wanna chance it.
