Theories on google asking for phone verification?
 

I've been trying to figure this out myself, couldn't figure it out other than they use browser fingerprinting. New user acct, new Firefox portable installed in that user acct, sometimes Google asks for phone verification. Someone said here on the forum if u make too many back to backs, it can do that. How else would they be able to know? I even use a different IP address. What do u guys think?

Google are just a lot better at tracking

Have you looked at your browser fingerprints to see if it is very similar each time?

Google is a lot like Amazon, VMware is a must have for google voice, gmails etc.

I would look at your IP range as well.. if you reuse the same range that can be a linking factor.

YAHOO used to be lenient with this when making email accounts, most times they will ask to phone verify, not a problem though as each account is setup with a new phone #

Only problem is yahoo charges for forwarding..

Solution just create the gmail on a mobile device to avoid phone verification.
