VPS as a SSH proxy or install VPN in a VPS?
 
Hello everyone,
I've bought a vps server for pp/ebay and wondering which way to set up VPS is more safe and secure so my real ip won't be tracked? Use VPS as a SSH proxy or better to set up OpenVPN with VPS?

VPN technically is more secure. since it encrypts all traffic. but both should work fine.

OpenVPN since proxies use different ports and that could trigger eb/pp verifications.

Why not use the native IP of the VPS and manage your ebay/paypal there?

Because you would need a more expensive VPS in order to VNC/RDP to it and get access to a browser, and at that point is better just to pay for a dedicate IP from a VPN provider. A $5/month VPS won't be powerful enough for it.

Just use a VPN, 24vc works perfect, also there are more less complicated methods to get on Ebay/PP.

Just use a RDP instead of VPN. RDP never got suddenly drop down like VPN.

That would only be an issue if you don't have it setup to protect against the connection dropping. Takes less than 2 minutes to setup a firewall rule to block internet access if the vpn connection drops.

An RDP is not a VPN.....so comparing those two things is not fair. I'm sure you are well aware of the differences, right?
