Do ebay track giftcards?
 

So I purchased a ebay gift card on gyft.com, using my paypal.

If I use the gift card on another ebay/paypal account, will ebay link the two?

Very easy link for eb to make - not recommended to even try this...

If the gift card was not bought directly from paypal there is no way for them link the account that uses the gift card and one that bought it.
BUT
It WILL be linked to the paypal account that originally bought that gift card.

I'm really curious about this because I think theres no way ebay can link this.

ebay will have to get the info from gyft as to how the giftcard was paid for. furthermore, they cannot track every giftcard because what if someone bought the giftcard using their paypal, and sold it to someone else, and that someone else used that giftcard to buy something? They cannot link the person who used that giftcard just because they bought it from another person.

ebay giftcards can also be purchased in offline stores like target, with no paypal attached to it.
