Cookies and IP addresses very confused... NEED HELP!!
 

Hi there,

I am bit confused when it comes to cookies and IP addresses? I will try and make this as simple as possible.

Why do I need to worry about these things because on eBay, you can log out and then someone else can log in? Therefore, if you have two accounts it will be as if a mate is using your computer? Thus, you should be ok?

Therefore, I shouldn’t need to worry about IP addresses and cookies?

Can you please explain to me if I have got this right, or my likely why I am wrong?

Please just take our word for it. Your mate could have been suspended previously, and you could be linked. Try using Mozilla FireFox for for your browser. You can tell it to automatically clean the cookies in Options->Privacy section. You can also install the Objection plugin to remove the flash objects. It is very easy, and worth your time... if you want to last.

CCleaner is what I use for clearing cookies. Flipping my IP is super easy with Telus.

CCleaner works great but the best thing to use is Firefox plugin Better Privacy. It gets rid of all flash cookies and stuff

YES!YES!YES! listen to these people always use a different user account and ip for each e-bay account!!!!

yes use FF with addon better privacy is my choice :)) to reject Flash Cookies :D

I have flash turned off, but when I added better privacy to my main user screen it cleared out 120 LSO !!
