2 eBay Accounts to a single Paypal
 

I remember reading a couple of years ago that have 2 eBay accounts linking to a single PayPal account is quite acceptable. Although I do understand the risks as in ..if your PayPal account is suspended it freezes 2 eBay's. Is this still the case? I'm asking if this will cause problems with PayPal or eBay ? :uk:

Its just not a great way to do it anymore

It causes issues with both the eBays after a few weeks to a few months unless they are already years and years old

i can say from 2 years i have 1paypal connect up to 4ebay. (5 paypal to 20ebay) it help to spread defects neg comment

I have experimented with this - I don't find that it "spread defects neg comment" per say but, then again, I haven't done high volume sales on the combination - few items on each eb account per week.

I would think they would get linked by address.... Unless your just sending money to them via email address....

I do this when i need cash to avoid the 21 day hold on business PP.... all accounts ive done this with eventually were linked due to address...

They are linked from the get-go based on sharing the same pp

Well - to be honest - my 6 ebay to 1 pp account already still lives on since 2009 BUT the limits were drastically reduced and it's just on a permanent lifeline. I wouldn't recommend this route

I have read the thread and I thank all those that have answered, I'll stick to one eBay per PP .. seems the path of least resistance :)

You need to bare in mind that linking accounts does not mean suspension. Its when you have an account that is linked to a suspended account that causes the issue. However, having linked accounts can also cause you to violate the duplicate listing policy if both accounts have the same item up at once.

Having 2 ebay accounts linked to 1 paypal doesnt hurt anything until one of the ebays gets in trouble.

If you have legitimate non-stealth accounts in your real name, then add the maximum eBay userids to your PayPal and make sure you sell legitimate stuff.

But with stealth, the easy rule is "1 ebay / 1 Paypal" pair

no way, example if you sell used things you get much more problems, if you have one Id and one paypal you are busted, but if you have 3-5 accounts on one name and one good paypal you spread defect negative comments over 5accounts. each account other items linked to one paypal. you are right if one will go down you burned all ebay. if paypal will go down you can swich all to other payapl

I think it really depends on what you are selling.
Ebay accounts with a shared paypal account are obviously linked.
From my experience I think there are pros and cons.

PROS

1. You will pass through all the information needed (Name, address, pp acount, bank account etc.. etc..) because the info it's literally the same.

2. If your #1 account it's on good stance, you can link it to your #2 account, and this one will have their limits increased faster.


CONS

1. If you are selling similar items, the accounts will not have their limits increased.

2. If you are selling vero items, fke items, or anything that can trigger ebay attention to you like risky items, you can easily have one account limited. And if this happens, all the pp shared accounts are now limited.


I can say from my experience that if you are selling low risk items, not ⊗⊗⊗⊗, not vero, not items that people easily give you neg feedback, this is perfectly doable.
I have 3 accounts with the same pp account (all the 3 are limited for other reasons), but they are the 3 top rated, and the 3 are selling just or more than I expected and this is going for years. I know a friend who has 6 with the same pp account. No problems at all in having that.

As always, there are many ways of doing things, and everything depends from seller to seller. It's how you manage your accounts, what you sell, how you sell etc.. that make or break you.
I'm not afraid to say that not even having 10 or 20 accounts linked to the same pp is a problem. However it's risky, as anyone knows that even the most cautious seller can be limited or suspended somehow.
