Entropay Confusion!
 

Hi,
I'm a UK user and i've just read the eBay Stealth book but i'm left completely confused about the pre-paid card section.
I've opened a new e-mail, paypal and eBay account under stealth details, changed my IP, deleted flash cookies etc as well as opening a new bank account under my real details.

What i don't understand is the point of using a pre-paid card from Entropay?.
An Entropay Virtual Visa doesn't have an account number or sort code because it's not an actual bank, but Paypal only needs an account number and Sort-Code to verify your account leaving me no option but to add my new bank account details.

I've searched these forums and a few people are saying they've managed to verify using an entropay card, so what im basically asking is can that be done? and if not what is the point of one?

As far as i know i can't withdraw money to it because Paypal needs an Account number and Sort-Code and even if you can it will take the same amount of time for the funds to be transferred to it as it would for my real bank account.

Have i completely missed something obvious or am i right in thinking there's no point in the pre-paid card?

Entropay, or any other VCC will not replace your bank account. VCCs are used to verify Paypal BESIDE the bank account verification. So you need both (Bank acc+VCC) since PP will lift your withdrawal limits only when you add and link a cerdit card (VCC).

The pre-paid may not work for italy (entropay), you can find some around here...ask lakeman, send him a PM. He knows a lot about VCC.

Some countries only need a credit card for full verification, that is where the entropay comes in to play. I do not need a bank account for my accounts in Malta, for verifying or for withdrawing money.

Exactly, sometimes you only need to have a VCC to verify BUT I am warning all members here that is soon to change! Don't forget that once the year is over for us all..there are ALWAYS new rules to eBay that will change, this may be one of them!

I know that as time goes on...they are killing off the countries with easy verification processes.

And the more it gets blathered about the quicker it will happen. Dont broadcast. :rolleyes:

I'm based in the UK so i don't need to have an Entropay account because you only need to add a bank account for full verification here.

Thats exactly what i was thinking as well. I have never used a prepaid card before like entropay and dont understand it at all well. Previously, I just had my paypal account which linked directly to my personal bank account. I don't understand what Entropay is used for, as you can still verify your paypal by using the details from your personal bank account?
Can someone please explain this to me? Appreciated...

I really dont understand this now, ive read the stealth guide 5 times, listened to advise and i cant find the answer:

so when i add my actual debit carn number to verify pay pal it askes for my address, if i dont put my ACTUAL address in it wont verify.

If i put my actual address in, ill be banned as they will link my account to my pervious one by the address! :faint:
