Entropay sharing information..

Despite the Data Protection Act and what they claim, Entropay do share information.

My friend set up an account at a bookmaker recently and I let him use my Entropay account to deposit.

The account was suspended and I was told that they had confirmed with entropay that the account did not belong to my friend. They even had my e-mail and name as the registered owner of the entropay card.

2 days later my account at the bookmaker was also suspended (after being open for 3 years)

I am not sure how this effects you guys with Ebay...but just thought I'd warn you.

Kind of sketch? :nono:

No one asked any questions...why would I be back?

Did you use the same VCC that you used on your ebay/ paypal account to help your friend deposit or was it a new one created on the same entropay account?
Because if not, that is what linked you two together.

I didn't use it on Ebay or Paypal. I used it at bookmakers, as said above.

It was a newly created card which I made for my friend to use.

Once he used it when setting up his bookmaker account, they told him that the Entropay account did not belong to him and they even told him the name and email address which the Entropay card was registered under. Entropay denied that they told the bookmaker this information but there was no other way they could have got it.

get hold of a solicitor & sue the fuk out of them, abuse of data protection is a criminal offence which you can sue for !!

Those were my thoughts also.
That was a rather strange response from rsot but then he usually does bump threads up expecting people to post an update ,

although I agree that in this case, you would wonder why one would be needed... as you simply posted about the incident.

Like you rightly ask, what else would you be expected to post when nobody asked for a response?

Like Imposter, I would look to sue...

GrannyT 07-22-2012 09:25 AM

As far as taking court action is concerned unless the bookmakers concerned will confirm that Entropay shared your information with them you are going nowhere.

That said you do have to wonder what information EB & PP can elicit from them don't you?

Very worrying if you use Entropay

Advice to a third party does not happen here.

We given info from 'a friend'. A very limited amount.

Legal advice would be required if the third party decided to pursue this. Not our concern.
