Entropay & request for webcam verification
 

i am about to sign up to Entropay and when I create a card on there do I give it the stealth address i am using?
anything I should know before I start?:juggle:

Entropay is made using all your real info to create the account.

You fund the entropay account using either your debit or credit card.

Now, be careful of what you do. On occasions entopay can ask for ID.


Stealth address only comes into the scene when you are making the vcc to attach to paypal.

No need to be stealth with Entropay - they wont share your info with PP.

GB is correct that they may ask for ID - if they do, just cooperate - Entropay is a very useful service

Yes this is normal, they need to verify the name on the card you are using to credit your account matches the details of your entropay account.

I have used an app before that turned my iPhone 3g into a webcam but this was years ago

got my iphone 5 to run as a webcam but cant verify my credit card tried 12 times given up

You can send them photgraphs of the front of your card and the back instead. Just leave only the first 6 and last 4 digits visible and remove the others, and cover the 3 digit code on the back fo your card.

Not quite. You don't need to do that and there isn't even an option to set address for an individual VCC.


But that isn't a problem since Entropay works with any stealth address that you use in Paypal. So just make your stealth account as normal and add the Entropay card to it.

Good clarification for using Entropay with Paypal. So many users seem to get confused with this part.

Since when? How often has this happened to you.

Never had to use webcam with entropay.

Even if they asked, I would use alternative means to confirm the cards.
I would follow Elijah's method.

It was introduced recently. I have had it on the last two cards that they wanted to verify, but I always open a support ticket and send the photographs in since I can never get the webcam thing working.

Webcam never works with tin foil hats in any case.

They are interested in seeing the card, not the person.

Ah ok, better.

There system is lazy. Use a picture/video webcam program of a jpeg of the numbers you provided and it passes through. LOL. :eek:

I'm also intrigued (doesn't happen enough!), as to how this can be done.

Entropay are asking me to set up a webcam.

Webcam verification for Entropay is pretty standard these days
