Will try Entopay.

With the basic account (up to 10 cards); can you deposit funds, say £10, and then divide the monies between all of the 10 cards (e.g. £1 each)?

Yes it works like that but the minimum you can upload is $20.00

Just signed up, and they're requesting that I verify my card by holding it up to a webcam! :lol: Not really sure how that works (considering cards can be ⊗⊗⊗⊗d).

They want to make sure the card is in your position , and I think they ask to see a photo ID as well

Is entropay simply a VCC (the same function as gift cards) or can you also use it as a bank and offload money into it?

Not a bank.

entropay allows you to make your own cards from your main account.

Entropay also has a function that a gift card does not and comes in handy, with Entropay you are able to always load the card

With any card u purchase you,just get that one load and when the funds run down to $0 that's it.

But always good to mix things up
