Entropay "random security check" pain in the ass....
 

Apologies in advance if this has been covered before.

I tried signing up for Entropay the other day. I used my real, regular credit card and ⊗⊗⊗⊗ registration info.

When I tried to load funds to my virtual card, I got a message stating that my account was "restricted due to a random security check". Sure, ok, whatever.

So I contact them, they ask me to verify a 1.00 charge with the authorization code. Call Chase, get the info, give it to them. "Your account is unrestricted, thanks for your patience"

Great, so I go to use it, get hit with the same message AGAIN! :noidea:

This time, I contact them asking WTF is going on, they say they need documentation from me. At this point, I'm fed up so I just ask them to close my account.

What's the deal here? Is this standard procedure for everyone? What annoys me is they bait and switch...they act like it's a simple registration, but in reality they want all kinds of info.

I'd like to hear the experiences of others. I'm American, if that matters.

Why make a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Entropay account in the first place? They are a financial organisation so naturally they are going to ask for ID at some point

Phake Entros are required to withdraw money to VCC and to avoid name mismatch issue.

You needed to sign up in your real details.

Otherwise it just looks like you are commiting fraud.

Real info for first Entropay card then you can create sub cards from that first one, these sub cards can be made in stealth details.

Real info should be used only if a person plans only to use VCCs to create PP stealths. If he plans to withdraw as well - stealth Entro acc should have same name, as corresponding PP.

Thank you all for the response. Ok, so I need real info, this is normal, and the VCC sub accounts can be stealth with no issue.

I appreciate everyones input. I'll open a new account with the and real info.
