Moving to another country
 

Ok, here is the deal... I'm moving to another country for about 4 months.

Will I have a problem with Etsy if I run my business with that countries IP?

All of my stock is in UK, I normally live in the UK and everything has still been made in the UK, I have my bank accounts there, I have everything there- Its literally just me physically who is not there.

Will I run into problems having different IP from my usual UK one?

This is not a stealth account, this is my own personal account.

Had a good nights sleep, decided to come and check who has helped me out here... Only to find the thread taking a little nap also- No activity at all.

i meant you will be fine. nothing is changing but an IP. et.sy is not that serious...why you people not learn this is beyond me

Probably because its still a bit of a mystery, its not as widely stealthed as eb.ay or am.azon so there are still some grey areas for us all. Hence why there's not really many people answering this threads question. It's not something I've tried nor do I know how Et.sy will react to it, so I can't really give a helpful answer here.

i have logged into my accounts with different IP including through VPN's...no problems. i just dont duplicate IP across multiple accounts. nothing on the account is being atlered. do you really think the second you login from another country that every market place just instabans your account?

OOh that sounds cool, where are you off to for 4 months?

I don't think it will be much of an issue, I always log into things when I am on holiday (not my stealth accounts) but I would use, facebook, instagram, shopify etc. and there are no issues.

You could use a VPN, or the person that is at home that will be making,packing the orders (?) could they not control the account for you?

The best way is to write and ask at Etsy's support. Otherwise you will look like dropshipper.

Yes, I agree BUT sometimes I feel that its easier NOT to poke the bear with the stick, if its not needed.
The bear is usually dumb as **** and lives in Asia, so I can't even explain to the bear what the situation is.

my god do not ever contact et.sy customer service. absolutely braindead script reading monkeys just like most places except possibly even worse.

I have logged into etsy from a different country (going on vacation), without a problem!
