Pay fees for Suspended Etsy accounts?
 

So some of my stealths were suspended because of not having etsy payments.

They all have fees on them.

Wondering if I should pay them, or just abandon them?

You know what the answer is really, you shouldn't be looking to others for justification on what you actually want to do.

when I want someone to pay me, I stop my relationship with him after he paid, not before ...

I dont know what the answer is. That is why I asked.

Maybe a better question would be, what are the pros and cons of paying the fees on a suspended account? Is there any consequence to not paying, especially since they have no actual personal information.

I know a lot of people are in this situation. That makes it an important topic.

Seems like you may be coming from a purely moral standpoint. That is good.

However, in my personal business journey I am trying to have a more business/profit approach that larger businesses have. Etsy made this recent change for purely business/profit reasons, with little consideration for the sellers that do not want to use their system.

If I can make more profit by not paying the fees, I should probably do that.

One reason to pay the fees would be to have the account in good standing. Maybe in the future etsy may make some changes that could bring these accounts back from the grave.

I would pay if it wasn't much. There is going to be someone willing to share how they could get around the etsy direct checkout in the future.

Pay your bills. You ran up a bill, you pay the bill. What makes stealth legal is acting ethically under your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ details. Not paying them is when the grey area comes in.

As a warning to the board some of the new posters are selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items, avoid helping them.

See you do know what the answer is.

I'm not saying do or don't. What I'm saying is that you know what you want to do, don't look to others for approval. Having some one say "go on" does not make it ok.

You owe someone a debt, it is up to you if you want to burn that bridge. I'm not judging you for what ever you decide to do, I'm just saying don't look to others so you can feel better about it.

Do the right thing.

Pay your bills. People who cheat their suppliers cheat their customers too.

Without credit and customers small businesses don't grow, and your attitude about paying your debts says everything about where you're headed.

Whip it into gear and be someone who keeps their word even if it hurts.
