Don't sell on Etsy.

People get banned for any and all reasons. There's no exhaustive list. It's pointless to even think of one. Sell your products, make back up stores and deal with whatever comes down the pipe.

Yeah, you can get shut down if people report you too even if your products are et/s/y legal. There's people in the forums who have barely any sales cause their products are ugly AF (in my opinion) all mad that shops are doing well and why aren't they. You never really know.

To clarify I'm talking about the et/s/y forums not these ones. They always write posts there trying to rat out other shops then when I look at their shops they have 50 sales in 5 years lol.

Yeah. Instead of them focusing on their own business they whine about others. Just sell your garbage or period blood pieces or whatever else weird you're offering and mind your business. :lol:

How could others get your account banned just by reporting you if you comply with all of etsy’s rules?

Et.sy seem to have a zero tollerance attitude, I've read many stories where et.sy has asked a seller to prove their items are hand made, the seller complies but is still shut down. And I've read stories of phake infringement reports and et.sy having no interest in their actual validity.

But of course, no real idea how true these stories really are.

Based on the forums I would say that's true! Sellers LOVE rattingnone anotjer out and the post about it under the guise of concern. The latest was a girl was wondering why a shop listed the same itemc3x and was that allowed l. Well it is allowed. Esp if you use different main photos, have lots of tags or swi you wanna try out and use or need to put the same item under a couple of different sections in your store. The only way to do that is have different lostingsZ it's just funny how they're ready to rat shops. One woman said she reported a shop 17 times in a row. Another woman was mad that 1 person had tons of sales and didn't think it was right because ets.y is for small businesses but people told her that simply wasn't true. It's not for small businesses as long as you got the rules why penalize people for sales?

it is all true. there are no rules, no guidelines, etc. they are hypocritical and constantly backtrack. it's all a shxt show. which is why most people seem to struggle with stea.lth

This is something I never understood. When my sales are quiet I do admin, or I create more product. I've never looked at someone else's shop with that sort of intent. Then again I've never reported anyone. People are so hateful, they really seem to have nothing better to do, or anything more constructive to do with their time.

Only reason I visit shops is to check out popular items and do market research. I don’t care what people as long as it doesn’t infringe or hurt my own line.
