Etsy stealth set up / llc
 

If you have read my posts I have set up an Etsy with Gladitor's help (he is great).

I have also filed an appeal with etsy to get my banned accounts back... Probably hopeless, but I want to try.

What I can't seem to understand is that if you input your Social S. into your stealth account (DC) how do they not see the Social and link you to your banned accounts?????

If you have inputted your SS then why do you need an EIN number?????

Has anyone gotten an LLC and did it like that? has it worked?

I agree about etsy being ruthless.. Banned for life???? Even people who are convicted with heinous crimes get paroled....

You can't setup stores with LLCs and EINs. You can use them later, but you cannot bypass the SSN requirement in the US.

Can you get the LLC's later? Isn't there an issue with having the same social with the LLC's?

You are no where near needing an LLC right now. And no it doesn't cause issues. Some people have hundreds of LLC's, talk it over with a tax professional when/if the time comes for one.

Only the IRS will see the SSN.

paypal, even on Etsy, simply ask does the tax info match YES or NO.

I have to think if an Etsy employee makes a mistake they don't fire the people in the cubicles next to them. I saw this article and it made me feel a little better.

Maybe when etsy keeps losing it's shareholders it will make a change but let's not hold our breath.
And don't waste time emailing them. I have posted on Josh Silverman's Twitter and facebook and even sent him an email at his private email account and nothing. I have tried sending professional letters to the larger shareholding companies as one of their shareholders. I have sent letters to the all the top brass, CEO, CFO, CTO, lady in charge of sellers. You name it and ZIP. You are nothing more than a blip if that. So don't waste time with that. Spend your energy with these people on the forum getting your shop back from the Nazi's that took it away.:cheer:
