When you use an ein as a sole proprietor, etsy asks you to use your ssn as far as i know. I used a relatives info with my ein and they asked for their ssn.

In my experience there is no need to reinstall windows or install a new user. Delete all cookies from the browser is enough, since browsers don't communicate anything else to the website. I've used the same user and browser for new accounts without issue.
