New Fresh IP Same As Old IP Except For Last Numbers. Problem?
 

Hi,

So I ordered a new fresh ip from 24vc and they gave me the same IP address as the old one(which is still active and used with a different account) except for the last 3 digits. so basically XX.XXX.XX.YYY
The only difference is the YYY.
Will this cause a problem/get me flagged or link the 2 accounts ?

Its not the same IP, even if 1 digit changes its a new IP.

Not entirely correct... I had 2 accounts linked and banned due to the following IPs:

Account A: 123.456.789.111
Account B: 123.456.789.11

The Ebay and the Amazon Accounts still work, but etsy gave me their standard mail on both accounts 5 minutes apart. Might have been bad luck tho, but just recently experienced it,.

Then that comes done to account creation on any platform.

No way do I ever have IPs within the same range.

We need only look at both Etsy and amazon.

More and more they are assuming a link with repeated IP numbers.

yep, totally oversaw that when I was given the IPs and created the accounts within 1 week from another... so just letting you guys know that a VERY similar IP range can indeed get you kicked off a platform.

Yeah, super close got some of my old (pre Etsy payments) shops pegged. I never use similar IPs now if I can help it as Etsy is rather annoying with it at times.

I got the following response from 24vc, not really sure how to proceed now, on the one hand I really need this backup account, on the other I don't want risk the current one.

"Hi, this fresh ip has 3 digits at the end different than the nearest previous one, which signifies a variation of 999 different possibilities. So its actually significantly different than your previous one, and countries like {...} do not have a significant availability of fresh ips so were unable to just swamp it out for another one. But you will have no issues using this fresh ip for your stealth accounts. Even just one number different at the end is more than enough variation. What you're forgetting is that even regular ISP like Verizon when they issue a block of ips to its customer they use the whole block. So if you were issued 173.68.54.100 by Verizon there is definitely someone else out there using 173.68.54.101, and that is perfectly fine and if you both happen to register on the same site there not going to limit you, otherwise they would be falsely limited millions of people based on that, makes no sense."

If all the last 3 numbers or at least two of them are different it should work imo...
