Search placement question

Anybody know why a US shop will rank in search results set to location “anywhere”, but not rank for the same search terms when location is set to “US shops”?

I assume you mean they place differently on search, not that they don’t rank at all right?

Honestly I couldn’t begin to explain the logic of etsys algorithm for search. It makes no sense and changes too often to get caught up over it.
