Can etsy buyer leave feedback after the order is refunded?
 

If I refund the money to the buyer and cancel the transaction, can an etsy buyer still has the ability to leave any feedback?
I know ebay buyer can but not sure about etsy.

Until etsy cancels the transaction on their end, yes. Refunding immediately will not stop an angry buyer from dinging you.

ok, if I provide a full refund and then click the "cancel transaction", how long does it take to cancel the transaction actually?
I feel that sometimes the cancelation process is quick and sometimes is slow. Why is that?

Usually it's cancelled the following business day, depending on the time you cancel it. I've seen them take 2-3 days before. If it's on a Friday, it's almost always delayed until Monday.

Etsy doesn't automate this, for whatever reason, it's always manually done. If you got anything on your shop that needs fixing or isn't following the rules closely fix it before you cancel as they may manually review your shop too.

Now I know why the cancellation process time seems different every time.

So it is always better to refund and cancel the order on a weekday, not on the weekend to decrease the chance of getting a bad feedback. Thank you.

The cancellation time is wonky, so M-T is your best bet to avoid trouble unless they get you between the time you cancel and usually 4-5 the following evening.

I know what that's like unfortunately. You just want rid of them, but that silly time between refund/cancellation is quite nerve-wrecking if you don't have a lot of feedback on the shop to hide it should they go stupid before you get it cancelled out.

I hope it works out and you don't get dinged before it's cancelled. :dance:
