Should I pay Balance of Old Account?
 

So it's been 6 months since Etsy closed my shop. I owe them around $150 still. I'm wondering if I need to close my account before starting a Stealth account? If so I need to pay the balance. If not, what happens if I don't pay? They don't have my SS#. Just wondering if anyone still has their old account still active with unpaid balance and if that's OK or better to pay and close all old accounts.:pry:

We're all gonna tell you the same thing, and it's that you should pay your dues for utilizing their service as agreed upon when selling on their site regardless if they suspend you or not..

Well I figured as much. The right thing to do is pay. It's just the very angry side of me wants to tell them to pound sand but it's probable a good idea to close the existing account before opening a new one.:confused:

yes always pay your fees ,itry not to let fees build up incase the account ets trashed and pay your taxes lol,,,

Why would you need to? If you are doing stealth properly the accounts will be two separate individuals.

If the account is stealth with an address who you would not like a collections letter sent to, I would pay of the balance. If its your own address, I would still pay it off because it will go to collections and hit your credit. SS# is not required for collections to pursue you for debt.

@OP, don't look for easy ways out - start building stealth backup accounts immediately.

Yeah I feel the same with my angry side, but what's right is right so I'd pay too.
