Banned Etsy Shop: Will they reinstate my shop if I pay what is due?
 

My shop was banned over a year ago. I cant open a new shop or even buy on etsy. It was closed due to having overdue orders and cases being opened. I was overwhelmed with the amount of orders coming in ...plus my son was having health issues around that time creating delays with my shop.

Since then, I've been in a much better position to start up again so I reached out to Etsy Support to possibly reopen my shop. Someone got back to me and told me I would have to pay off the balance on the account first. I didnt know there was a balance because I havent had access to it in a year (lost email). Support helped me regain access. Im going to pay the bill regardless. But has anyone been in this situation and they didnt reopen their shop?? Support told me they would still need to over my account history and communication history with their team before making a decision.

They will not reinstate you. Pay your fees, but just move on. Make a new shop.

I've never heard of ETSY reopening any closed shops.

You will have to go the stealth route

ebay stealth or amazon stealth is very similar to getting around those issues

I paid my balance and my shop was reopened for the same exact thing. You just have to be clear and own up to what happened. You can explain your situation but don't make it all personal. What your plans are to change and make sure it NEVER happens again. I received an email 24 hours after my appeal and I was back on.

I know at least 2 persons who get their shops open,.
so pay your bills first and then see what happens.

Pay the bill then discuss with them how you can do things differently this time around. I think there is a chance you can get re-instated if they feel the issues won't happen again.

If you pay your balance and your account did not have any critical issues (communication with customers, selling non-handmade items, etc), you will get your account re-opened 90%.

The only cases when they do not re-open accounts:

1. Policy violations (after your 5th-6th violation)
2. Item policy violation (non handmade, non unique, etc)
3. Inconsistent seller account information (using different addresses for shipping, living, billing, etc). Even in this case I have successfully re-opened my accounts, but only in 1/10 ratio.

Etsy has changed its policy recently,instead of billing and charging your credit card end of the month for your bills,it is now taking it out of your sales proceeds everytime you make a sale.
Kind of make me believe there are too many deadbeats who do not pay their bills at the end of the month.

you can sell vintage/antique items on Etsy,besides handmade items,as long as they are not made yesterday.
But you see many Etsy sellers selling Chinese items which are made yesterday or not yet made !

Gladiator...can you help me create a new etsy please??? Was just banned yesterday and im honestly devastated...
