Getting back on Etsy with an international SSN?
 

My Etsy account was suspended about a year ago because the items I was selling weren't considered handmade. I basically taught myself how to sew and I feel confident enough to get back on Etsy now with my own creations.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but after a year, would I be able to get back on with the same information? If not, I have an Italian social security number and address that I think I may be able to use. Do you think that would be sufficient to get back on and not get closed down?

Also, if I claim to be in Italy, but my items are shipping from the U.S., won't my customers be concerned? Also, won't my sales go down significantly because most customers will only want to buy from shops that are in their country?

There's no such thing as an 'international ssn'.

An italian ssn number won't work here.

Your previous info is burned, they'll never let you reuse it.

So if I open an Italian Etsy account they won't ask me for a ssn?

No, European countries (as far as I know) don't have SSN.

Yes they do, I have an Italian SSN. Maybe they're just not as commonly used there as they are here in the U.S.?

SSN is meant for US platform users

European etsy does not ask for or require an SSN.
