Hi guys! A moderator please move this thread if it’s in the wrong section as I don’t know where else to post this as it’s Etsy related.
I noticed we don’t do personal challenge topics here so here I go with mine.


Foreword :

I am starting this thread as a way for me to keep motivated and track my personal records as well as sharing them with the community! If the administrators/mods encourage this type of threads, please make your own too ! I will definitely follow your journey. If not, I’m not breaking any rules on Purpose.

Personal background:

- in my early twenties
- working about 60hrs/ week so I’m doing this in my spare time as a way of achieving some kind of financial freedom.
- I enjoy travelling
- London based

My personal goals for etsy:
-
I sell mostly digitals so about 90-95% from the revenue it’s pure profit.
The ones you see already ‘done’are achieved with only 1 shop. I plan on opening more :)
Based on the previous results, I should be able to achieve these goals with 2 shops only :)
Will be posting pictures as the journey develops.

This is cool. Mine is now open too but I haven't uploaded listings yet coz I am trying to figure out how to open my account without getting closed again, lol. My shop has lasted for only 4 months before they closed it. It generated $15K in sales and about $6K in profits.

I hope to read another post about your journey.

Trial and error is the best and worst way to learn =)
If I would have a lot of time on my hands I would have 10+ shops open at any given time. But for now, I’ll open another one this weekend and upload around 100listings.
I might make a rule for myself to open one per week, but idk.. we’ll see!

Speaking of shops, if you create another one do you plan to use the same info from your new shop or different info?

Did you use your photo from your former shop to the new shop? Did you remake them? I'm curious if they can track it.

Keep us updated how you do! I also write down goals to achieve each month to keep me on track. Also selling on etsy but doing it full time and in my early 20s too!

How do you import csv to your shop? All I can see in Option is download csv no import or upload. I have 100 listings from Bonanza and I want to put them all on my E*sy shop. Thanks.

It’s a paid service and Ihave to let you know that I haven’t figured out how to process/ import the variations correctly. Just google EtsCsv

Hows it? Does it have decent traffic of buyers? i mean like, is it worth to sell there as well?

My 100 items are in Bonanza for 3 weeks already and I haven't gotten a sale yet. Only 82 views and I'm a Gold member a premium subscription I should be getting a lot of traffic. I dunno I feel like it's not worth it. Maybe others do well.

Hi guys!
Sorry for not posting in a while but I’ve been busy working.
Shop is up at 54 orders.
Getting around 4/500 views a day. Good, but could do better. I’m trying to make this as passive as possible and it is.( selling digitals so no shipping involved)
SEO it’s slowly rolling and will be getting more views soon. All views are from etsy. No outside marketing done on this shop.

This weekend I will create another stealth shop and I have around 300 listings ready for it. I will be posting them manually so it might take a week or so( no, i never had problems with publishing too many listings - not a red flag in any of my cases)
The only reason I’m doing it manually it’s because I cannot figure out EtsCSV importing options.
The Premium Service( which I’m using) imports everything right but not the variations so I rather do them manually.

Will include more screenshots as this unfolds.

Quick update : just opened second store on my phone. I figured it’s a good idea since I’m at work most of the time and will be managing this one from my phone.
The first one averages 150£/ day at the moment.

Great job Woky.
I had a lull of zero orders from the 22nd to 30th October but things are picking up again to average 3/4 orders per day.

Use Etsy rank to optimize your tags and titles :) to get more views. If you get too many views and no orders, consider retaking the pics / think about your products.
How many listings do you have atm?

Im also early 20's, 21 to be exact. I started up my ETSYs 5/6 months ago. Sadly they got shut down 2 months ago. Before they got shut down I hit my record high of around £7k/$9k profit. I was absolutely gutted when they got suspended, and still am. I started up another account in a family members name and its slowly getting back up there with 5-6 sales a day (Its been a week or so). Unfortunately I have a really small family and I don't have names/addresses to use for multiple shops. Im going to give a stealth account a go soon so hopefully Ill get back up there with you guys. Its good to hear there are alot of others finding success early! good luck to you all, i will be following this thread to see how you all get on.

Hi guys ! I know I haven’t really been active on the forum but I’ve been busy on etsy :)

Today I’ve hit my 500£/ day ! with one shop.
Yesterday I was very close but couldn’t make it.

Today I know I did. When I woke up at 5AM this morning I was already at 250ish and I check the sales number by visiting my shop( can’t login from phone)
Will upload a photo when I get home.

Shop is 3/4 days old.

I guess Black friday will be a crazy day :)

Wow, that is amazing for an Etsy shop. There are tons of sellers who would be happy to do $500 (I don't have the Pound Sterling key on my PC) in a month, just scroll through Etsy's own user forums. My highwater mark on Etsy of $10k in a month happened in 2015, but nowadays I have happy to do $2k a month. But admittedly I don't spend as much time managing the shop as I used to.

Digitals, this and that. Spent a lot of time perfecting each listing though.

Guess I’m hitting almost all my goals this month. (Maybe hitting that 10k profit as well)

Wow! Thats really good!

1 Where did you finally opened your you shop, the UK? I read that you sais Austria or The Netherlands were good options, becuase they dont ask ID.
2. Did you where asked for an ID?
3. Are you using Direct Checkout or just Paypal?
4. I read you comment something about having 8 strikes and think you found a way to Etsy not close your shop. Could you share that via PM please?

1. Yes, UK. I find it quite easy to do so since I’m in the UK, therefore no vpn required.
2. No, no IDs or any other verification involved.
3. DC, it has integrated paypal.
4. It only works for copyright infringements. If you get suspended for something else it doesn’t work anymore.

I got my accounts back up, avg. around 1.5k/day in sales. Really happy to have made all but 1 of these thread goals in first 5 days of dec. 10k should be hit tomorrow.

When it comes to UK accounts its not as simple as Woky has made it out. I would always recommend operating under a VPN. There is ID checks for stealth info EVERY TIME! Make sure your account is verifiable.

Im looking forward to next christmas now, I quite enjoy the 5x in sales..

Hi,

Yes I did.
Grew instagram/ fb pages to over 500k followers.
But spent 0£ on marketing for this shop. All made through SEO.
I enjoyed some traffic from etsy. (Around 80k and 100k came from external sources)
I might do a blog. Going up from 100k views/ month is another source of income, but for now i’m just thinking about it.

Tron, I don’t know what ID verification you’re talking about but the way i create my shops doesn’t involve any ID verification or requests.
