Failed ETSY Stealth
 

Hello,

I have been researching this forum for about a month. I finally made an attempt to get back up. I have a fresh IP, VCC for registration, Fresh Bank account for deposits and a New pay as you go phone number. I chose a random address and a random stealth name (matches the VCC). Now when I went to go forward and finalise i got hit with "We had trouble verifying your identity". Now i'm being asked to upload photo ID. I'm not sure what went wrong but i'm pretty sure it will be to do with the name and address.

Please someone help and let me know where i went wrong.

Unlikely to be told what is being sold on Etsy - maybe category/group name request is ok but not specific item

If you don't change of devices etsy block account again. They can trace your device Mac address.

I sell lots of different things, I used to have a lot of accounts but i didn't know about the whole linking thing and they all came down at once lol.

Im just trying to get back on quickly so i can enjoy the december traffic :heh:

Yeah I have all good 'stealth' info but the UK they are quite tough on new registrations, I think I figured where i went wrong so ill be changing my strategy up now to get back on.

Do Etsy detect and log MAC address as well? I haven't met that anywhere in the forum. Anybody having knowledge about that?

My account has been suspended in ETSY last month.
So I have experience about this matter.
Etsy detect lp address qnd Mac so be careful next time.

ETSY can obtain info on the computer you use? This is the first ive heard of this. I know they use cookies but if you create a new user it shouldn't be a problem.

I have looked it up, browser and flash cookies need to be deleted but using the same computer can't be found out. The way is just to have a new user for each account.

My account has been suspended last month.so I don't want to take risk.so I use all new( IP address, PayPal , device) now for etsy.

If you want to save money a new user will do. Having lots of devices for your accounts must be confusing and expensive.

Yes it is expensive.I am manufacturer of Fine jewelry. I want to sell my products in etsy.so I am doing this.

Yes, too much so. Ha! I mean, I understand why, but they freeze legit accounts and leave the bad seeds.

I've been reading a lot about ID verification lately. A lot of places verify ID based entirely on what they find out about you online as they have no access to government or DMV records. I recommend people start looking up information on passing background checks with stealth info.

IF you link a new bank account,would the name and address of the account be the same as your Etsy name?
You cant link other people's bank account

just a small reminder that you dont need a new computer for stealth.
you just have to create new user account or reinstall windows and use another e-mail for windows login. thats all

Will this also work for android tablet? I mean, if I make a factory data reset and use a new google account would that be enough to use it again?

It should work, HOWEVER! Don't even try to use etsy app. use web browser.
Android tablets has tons of holes where etsy app gets you linked. so avoid using etsy app at any costs when ur in stealth.
if you REALLY want to use app, the only safest way is to buy new phone/tablet.
Also, i would suggest you to use a new sim card (if your tablet has a slot for it of course)

* All above applies to you if you used this specific tablet on your banned account before. if you didn't, you should be okay :)

Well, I used the app in the past for a while but I stopped as I didn't really liked it so that won't be a problem as I'm not going to even install it. Thank you for the tip though!

However... it might sound stupid, but if I use other applications like facebook and instagram that I used while I was logged in to my suspended account, would that link them to me somehow? I think I had my facebook, instagram and pinterest details to my suspended etsy account. Does that mean also that I must not log in to my facebook account after cleaning tablet and while I'm in my new IP?

unlikely other apps may share any info.
my only concern is Etsy App actually.
And yeah of course i think you understand that you should give any details of your stealth etsy to your old facebook and other accounts.

I believe that you maybe mean that I should NOT give any details of my stealth etsy to my old facebook and other accounts!
I could make a new instagram account for my stealth shop but it is difficult to make a new facebook account, especially a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ one. First I thought that's ok, I won't have facebook page for stealth shop, but I thought that it may be suspicious, because who doesn't have facebook. But seriously, that's my last concern!
My consern is more if there is any possibility of linking my new IP address to my suspended shop if I just log in to my facebook account which I had given to my suspended personal account!

I think it is better to format you pc and then install windows again, than reinstall them over the excisting. You must have the installation file in cd or usb stick and then set your BIOS to boot from there. If you google it, you can find an easy step by step guide.

that would be too m uch work to reintall my windows,as the original software is outdated,too many window updates since then.
also my personal data and pictures have to be reloaded,except those kept with AOL.
PC aredirt cheap now,I can get an older brand new ones for $300

by reinstalling windows i mean factory reset using laptop's own recovery partition or just use Windows 10 Reset this PC function.
