Etsy photos

Hi guys,

I consider using photos from different website and delete the exif data and use it on etsy.
I will sell "made to order" so I dont want to have stock.
Is it OK use these kind of photos on etsy?
Any experience?

You are best to use your own photos, to avoid a handful of issues that can raise of using stock or others photos.

Re: Etsy photos

Thanks for your answers but I cant take the Photos of products on My own. I only able to use photos from websites or instagram. I have red on old posts that gladiator changing backround of the Photo. Today I have tried a couple of photos by changing its backround. When I search the Photo on google pic search same photos found on google (so failed, I think)
Any other suggestion? I am not able to take the Photos with my camera.

Changing background is a good idea, however consider that if you are dropshipping, Etsy doesnt like it AT ALL. and they may suspend you without explanations if they suspect you dropshipping

To the OP no you can't, make your own photos. Sounds like your dropshipping, so many ⊗⊗⊗⊗ sites now selling items directly from Etsy

I really dont know. I know an etsy seller who buy from Local producers and sell to all over the world. He added 21 ( yes 21) contributers to his etsy account. What he does he basicly buy from those 21 producers and sell on etsy and many of them in different category.
The Photos of products can be found producers own website and instagram accounts as well.

By looking his account I thought it is OK using someone elses photos.
But on the forum almost everybody talks the otherwise and I am curious if I missing something.

Re: Etsy photos

You are allowed to drop ship on Etsy depending on the products. I use print on demand services who drop ship the products to my customers. So basically it's my designs printed on to products. That is fine. You just have to state that you get help and list a supplier for the product.

You cannot drop ship premade products that were not designed by you or specifically made for you. People do get away with it, but in their terms of service, Etsy says that it is not allowed and your shop will be closed if they find out.
