Ranking on Etsy

I've been using promoted listings. I've also tried different keywords and specific search terms in my tags, title and description. I'm having a hard time ranking these items. Anyone know any tricks to help rank items to page one? Or anyone know of any Etsy ranking services that can help make you visible. Struggling to get sales right now.

Hmm when I was selling digital items there i didn't have sale for two-three days. You should wait more 1-2 days and they should come up imo. I do not really know how ranking etsy service works. But they have decent traffic, especially for mine items where its not place for selling digital items I've got for four days like 20k views.

*Psst, after these four days i've got 180 days suspension on my balance* :D

but yeah you should wait little bit. I believe someone from the forum will help you better, i do not have much experience with etsy.

They are always changing the way things work and they introduced a lot of SEO changes last year. They use a thing called context specific ranking now. That means that what you see on page 1 when you search your keywords isn't necessarily what I will see if I search the same term. They show each buyer what listings they think they will like based on that buyer's shopping behaviour.

To ensure you are being seen it's best to create a solid SEO strategy. Use sites like Marmalead/Erank to research your tags and keywords. Etys are also moving more to a Google way of thinking, so make sure your keywords are also in the first few lines of your product description.

A good place to start is the seller's handbook to see exactly how they like things done. I'm not sure if I can name them on here or if it's smart to have links coming back to this site but you should also search google for bloggers who specialise in Esty SEO and tips. Preferably a blogger who actually has their own successful shop!

I put a lot of work into my first shop (6 months worth of research before opening) and refreshed my knowledge (about a months worth of research) with this new stealth account. Both accounts made their first sale within 24/48hrs and that is down to using keywords and tags that have a high search rate and high engagement. Marmalead and Erank will help with that.

Also when you set your keywords/tags you'll need to have patience and give them a few weeks to start "working". SEO doesn't work overnight so you have to play the long game.

Good luck!
