Steps after Et.Sy asks to verify ID?
 

Hi there,

I've tried to set up and Et.Sy store after being suspended. I followed all the steps of Eba.Y stealth but when I got to the point of after inputting my address, they ask to verify my ID.

I saw someone post that to avoid this, you can make use VPN to make an account under Mexico or some other country that does NOT have Et.Sy payments (Aka direct banking).

Is that the way avoid being ID?

They ask for your credit card then you can open the shop
on the first sale etsy review your id

The only way to bypass id upload is to use a real persons information
i dont know about the country your from but in UK they can verify who lives at an address and there dob if its correct you dont need to upload id although they might ask for it later on

Did you use a credit card that was a gift card? I have found that the cc you put on file needs to be an actual credit card in the name you are opening the account in or it flags a fraud alert and they will need you id to make sure you aren't using someone elses card to open an account.

this sounds like AVS,it accesses a data base with the cc number and verify the address,not the name

Etsy UK does not check AVS for seller account or purchasing
i have used my bank issued debit card for selling and buying under stealth details not a problem

Can someone help me ,
i have set up a couple of et8y stealth accounts in the past
however never experienced this,
i have basically used a new account on my pc,
i have a dongle with new ip
i have purchased a vcc , and opened a new bank account /debit card
new email address
first i completed all etsy setup as normal , however when i reached the how you'll get paid section , i enter my new debit card details and my real address which is on the card, however i mistakenly pressed the wrong number in my address and when i went to next , and to billing section where i was about to enter my vcc details i got stopped and was prompted with an upoad i.d to verify my identity and that it must match my payment account,
i have my i.d but i am not sure if i should proceed and upload, or will these burn my vcc when i come to attach it with different details or will they just automatically stop me from continuing anyway once they see my i.d and realise i have had an account banned previously,
i am just gutted if this means i will need to set up another bank account and start again, however i would rather know now than add my topped up vcc and waste that also,
any help would be much appreciated

Hi,
No the I.D would not be stealth,
Would you suggest trying again with another debit card?
I don't want to send real i.d then add my stealth vcc
and burn my vcc also if you get me
