Setting up a new shop!
 

Hello everyone! .

I was selling all handmade products on Etsyy, unfortunately my shop got shut down because I used ‘Harry Potter’ in some of the tags.

I would love to open a new shop without any of my Harry Potter fan art and was just wondering what you need to do exactly.

I have downloaded a program that gives you a new IP address, got a new computer, new email address, etc.
But what about my bank info. If I open a new bank account will that work or if it’s under my name will it be flagged? Should I ask my mum if I can use her bank details?

Any advice would be sooooo helpful!

Firstly you said you have downloaded a program that gives you a fresh IP. Is that a free program? if so its most likely that it might be a fresh IP to you but could have been used 1000's of times before.

To be 100% sure your IP is fresh I would purchase one for a service like IP Burger.

Also regarding the bank account. You bank never pass on your real name so etsy will only ever see your account number and sort code.
